Gwabi River Lodge, established over 20 years ago, is situated on more than 90 hectares and has a 99-year lease effective from 1982. The current owners refurbished the lodge in 2005, making marked improvements and upgrades to the chalets, bar, lounge and restaurant facilities.
The lodge is a mere two hours’ drive (150 km) from Lusaka and 12 km from Chirundu. It lies on the majestic Kafue River just upstream from the confluence with the spectacular Zambezi River, often referred to as the ‘gateway to the Lower Zambezi National Park’. This is nature at her most awe-inspiring.
